Box Score MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. | Florida Memorial's contest against St. Thomas ended in an 80-61 loss to their crosstown rivals in the Battle of Miami Gardens at the Fernandez Family Center.
The Lions were led by Boston native
Dasiah Thornton who finished with a game-high 29 points, going 7-of-14 from three-point land. FMU guard
Madison Sjogreen followed up with 10 points, going 4-of-12 from the field while teammate
Quameerah Peterson-Gray chipped in with six points to pair with four assists before fouling out of the game.
The loss drops FMU to 8-6 on the season and 0-2 in conference play.
The contest marks the second-straight loss for FMU, dropping them to 8-6 on the season and 0-2 in conference play.
The Lions return to action on Saturday, January 13 where they will host The College of Coastal Georgia. Tip-off is slated for 2 p.m. at the FMU the Wellness Center.
