FMU falls 58-53 to Webber

Box Score BABSON PARK, Fla. | Florida Memorial dropped a heartbreaking contest to Webber by the score of 58-53 at the Sabbagh Athletic Center.

Despite dominating the Warriors in the first quarter, (outscoring them 13-3) Florida Memorial was outscored by Webber 41-33 in the second half.

FMU guard Dasiah Thornton led the Lions with 13 points, going 3-of-7 from behind the arc to pair with her two steals. Quameerah Peterson-Gray and Cor'Niya Johnson followed suit, both scoring 10 points each. Gray also had two assists and six rebounds in the contest.

The loss drops FMU to 8-9 overall and 0-5 in conference play.

Florida Memorial returns to action on Wednesday, January 24 where they will host Southeastern. Tip-off is slated for 5:30 p.m. at the FMU Wellness Center.
