The Lions got on top in the second half, when freshman Isabella Landin scored the opening goal off a penalty kick in the 51st minute, before the Gyrenes scored late in the second to tie the match, the first tie in conference play for FMU.

Goalkeeper Isabella Rueda played all 90 minutes. Finishing with four saves and allowing the lone goal.

The tie moves FMU to 4-3-4 on the season and 2-2-1 in conference play.

The Lions return to action, Wednesday, October 22, when they'll host New College of Florida for Senior Day. Kickoff is slated for 1 p.m. at Dr. Lester Brown Park.
